Raw Vegan Brownies

I have been keeping fairly close tabs on what I am eating and plan to share more recipes with you as I figure out what is working to bust the cravings without ruining my weight loss goals. And, on that front, I am down 13 pounds and can’t wait to tell you all about it! (soon!)

This recipe is SO GOOD. Full of good fats and filling ingredients. I like them cold on their own, with a cup of coffee in the  morning to push off my want for donuts, and crumbled over ice-cream or froyo. Mmmm

one cup walnuts
one cup sunflower seeds
5 Tbs dark cocoa powder
two cups mission figs
1 Tbs coconut oil
dash of vanilla extract

Mix in your food processor (in the order listed). Once you can press it together and it will start to form then it is ready! I pushed mine into a little 8X8 pan (pressed in tight with the bottom of a cup). Then I melted 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips and poured that over the top. Chill for an hour or so and enjoy!

Here I crumbled one over some plain frozen yogurt. Super yum!
